Professional Communication Coaching

One-to-one coaching for international professionals who want to make better communication decisions — what to say, how to say it, and when — in professional, multicultural environments.

What is this?

This is a one-to-one coaching engagement focused on developing communication judgement in professional environments.

It is designed for international professionals who already speak English well, but want to communicate more strategically at work, especially in meetings and other high-visibility situations.

This is not about fluency, confidence, or sounding more polished. It is about learning how to interpret situations accurately and respond with clear, intentional communication.

The coaching is built around the 5-Step Communication Model — a structured method for deciding what to say, how to say it, and when.

You learn how to assess situations, clarify objectives, structure your message, and adjust delivery based on context, rather than relying on instinct or habit.

The depth and duration of the work depend on your role, goals, and the complexity of the situations you are navigating.

Who this is for

This coaching is for you if you:

  • Are a manager, senior IC, or independent professional

  • Have responsibility but not always full authority

  • Work in environments where credibility and judgement matter

  • Often reflect after conversations on what you could have said differently

  • Want to understand the reasoning behind effective professional communication

The problem this addresses

Many capable professionals struggle at work not because of their ideas, but because of how their communication is interpreted.

This typically shows up in situations like:

  • Meetings where it’s unclear when or how strongly to speak

  • Managing up without knowing how direct to be

  • Trying to gain buy-in without sounding pushy or hesitant

  • Communicating your value without over-explaining or underselling

  • Being perceived as unclear, overly cautious, or overly strong

As a result, capable professionals may be seen as less confident, less strategic, or less effective than they actually are.

This work goes beyond improving phrasing or “sounding better.” Instead of focusing on what to say in isolated situations, you learn a structured decision-making approach that applies across all professional communication.

It allows you to:

  • assess the situation, context, and stakes

  • define a clear objective before you speak

  • structure your message for clarity and action

  • adjust your tone and level of directness appropriately

As a result, communication becomes more consistent, intentional, and effective. You are no longer relying on instinct or guesswork — you understand how to approach different situations with clarity.

We work with real situations from your professional context — meetings, conversations, and interactions that matter to your role.

Each session focuses on:

  • analysing a specific situation (past or upcoming)

  • understanding context, stakes, and expectations

  • identifying the communication options available to you

  • choosing an intentional strategy and understanding its trade-offs

You learn how to apply a structured decision-making process before you speak, rather than relying on instinct or hindsight.

Depending on your goals, we may focus on areas such as:

  • contributing in meetings and discussions

  • structuring clear and effective messages

  • managing updates, requests, and follow-ups

  • expressing ideas, suggestions, and concerns

  • navigating agreement, disagreement, and alignment

Format:

  • One-to-one coaching engagement

  • 60-minute sessions (90 minutes in some cases)

  • Live, 1:1 sessions via Google Meet or Microsoft Teams

  • Situation-based and applied (not a fixed curriculum)

  • Duration adapted to your role, goals, and context

How the coaching works

What will change by the end

By the end of this work, you will be able to:

  • read professional situations more accurately

  • decide when to speak, how strongly, and in what direction

  • communicate with greater clarity, structure, and intention

  • manage everyday interactions with more confidence and control

  • navigate professional relationships more effectively

You will develop a repeatable way of thinking you can apply independently.

This is a foundational skill. The ability to make effective communication decisions underpins performance across meetings, collaboration, interviews, and leadership situations.
